Flu Season Still in Full Swing

Flu activity is still elevated in Central Florida and it’s not too late to get your Flu shot! Remember, if your child is experiencing a fever or other flu-like symptoms, do not bring them to school and seek medical advice as soon as possible. The CDC recommends antiviral treatment be initiated as soon as possible for people with confirmed or suspected influenza who are at higher risk for complications. Children are at HIGH risk for complications from flu. Treatment should be administered within 48 hours of illness onset.
